Pete has a long history of involvement in community affairs. Pete served two terms on the Shasta County Board of Supervisors, from 1983 to 1990. During that time and after leaving the Board Pete served on numerous Boards, Commissions and Councils. Pete also served as Past President of the Shasta-Trinity Bar Association, Redding Rodeo Association, Shasta District Fair, and the Private Industry Council, to name only a few.

Pete is a proud Vietnam War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force at the rank of Captain as a navigator on the KC-135. Pete's interests over many years have been aviation, having been a flight instructor, horses and martial arts.

Pete and Greg Mann founded Freedom In Action in January 2011.  Prior to launching Freedom In Action both Pete and Greg were actively involved with Tea Party groups in the Redding area. Together they hosted the show for nearly three years and until Greg moved to Colorado. Pete has for the last several years continued as the sole host, but with the help of many fine guest hosts. It is for this reason the show now says “Pete Peters & Company.”

Pete has always been and continues to be a strong advocate of strict adherence to the Constitution of United States. Pete further has a deep love and respect for our beautiful country, its rich heritage and its principles of freedoms and liberties.  It is out of this love and respect that Pete fights every week to preserve and protect what our forefathers fought so hard for, and so generously bestowed upon us.
